Kaci Ott is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Certified Trauma-Focused CBT Therapist, and a TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner. She specializes in work with children and parents. Kaci has extensive training and experience in treating trauma, including work with families raising children through adoption or foster care. Kaci also enjoys working with women with trauma histories and treating a variety of other issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, and childhood behavioral concerns.

Kaci's career has been focused upon advocating for children. Her background includes teaching third grade, working as a school counselor in a PreK3-12th grade school, and working at a camp for children/adolescents in the foster care system. Kaci has over ten years of experience providing therapy in clinical settings and served as the Children's Services Coordinator at a trauma-focused counseling center in New Orleans. This wide range of experience makes her fluent in understanding childhood concerns from a variety of perspectives, and well-versed in collaboration with parents and teachers to resolve school-related concerns.

In addition to TFCBT and TBRI, Kaci is trained in Triple P Positive Parenting, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and approaches for treating adults with childhood trauma. She is a Darkness to Light (childhood sexual abuse prevention) facilitator and is available to present this training and Triple P Positive Parenting seminars at schools, churches, and other locations that serve youth.

Kaci's educational background includes a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy, a B.S. in Elementary Education, and a B.M. in Music Performance (flute).
